🥎It's Game Day! The regular season ends today for Savage Softball (19-8) with a road trip to Pocola to take on the unbeaten Lady Indians (28-0). Today's challenging non-conference game will help prepare both teams as they head into the regional playoffs later this week. The Class 4A Region 12 Tournament begins on Thursday in Broken Bow with Mannford (22-6) taking on Vinita (9-17), and Inola (9-19) facing the Savages in the opening games of the four team double-elimination bracket. 👑Senior Class Candidate Miss Avery Skelton was crowned the 2024 Broken Bow High School Football Homecoming Queen at Friday night’s homecoming ceremonies at Memorial Stadium! 🏈It's Homecoming tonight in Memorial Stadium as the Broken Bow Savages (2-1) open District 4A-4 play against the winless Glenpool Warriors (0-3). The 2024 Homecoming Queen Coronation Ceremony begins at 6:30 P.M. with kickoff slated to follow at 7:00. The Queen candidates tonight are: Freshman Class: Caroline Skelton Sophomore Class: Tyson Woolsey Junior Class: Kaeslynn Lansdell Senior Class: Avery Skelton At-Large: Kaiden Jordan As a reminder, a clear-bag policy is in place at Memorial Stadium tonight. Broken Bow Schools received an "All Clear" from law enforcement. Students may pick up their vehicles and staff may re-enter the buildings. The evening's events will continue as scheduled. The Homecoming Parade begins at 7:00 P.M.

Security Update: 12:40pm 9/26/24 Busses have been cleared by the bomb squad. Bus routes will run as normal for Dierks and Bennett students. Parking lots are being swept now. Buildings will still be a few hours. We will post once we are given an all clear for the retrieval of personal items and vehicles. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The safety and well-being of our students and staff is our top priority. As a precaution, we have initiated our emergency protocols and have evacuated the high school and middle school campuses. Our students are safe and we are working closely with law enforcement officials regarding this threat. Dierks Elementary and Bennett Elementary Schools are currently on lockdown, and students are safe in their classrooms. Please do not come to the school until further notice. We understand that this may cause concern, and we appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this time. We will keep you updated with more information as it becomes available. ✈️Broken Bow students were on hand for the first annual Southern Oklahoma Aero Day! It was an inspiring event, and we are hopeful that it opened students’ eyes to the many exciting pathways that a career in aviation/aerospace can provide them. 🥎 It's Game Day! Savage Softball (19-8) hosts Idabel (10-14) today in the final regular season home game for our seven senior Savages. The team still has a pair of regular season road games on the schedule, Monday at Class 2A Pocola and Tuesday at Class A #9 Red Oak, before returning home to host a regional playoff at Savage Softball Stadium next Thursday and Friday, October 3rd and 4th. Devon Stowe participated in KTC's Pre-employment Transition Program "Best Step" this summer, and was given the opportunity to speak about his experience to a group of teachers and administrators in the county. Way to go Mr. Stowe!

LIGHTS. CAMERA. ACTION! Parade! Thursday evening we will have our Homecoming Parade and Homecoming Pep Rally at Memorial Stadium. The parade will start at 7PM from the HS and end at the stadium. Come out to support our students and see the class floats they have been working so hard on! (We will not have a Pep Rally Friday during the day since we are having one Thursday evening.)
