Savage Softball is in full swing for the 2024 Fall Season and the Savages are currently riding a six-game winning streak. Senior Centerfielder Raylee Gaston is a returning starter and a three sport athlete with a terrific blend of speed and athleticism. Raylee and her teammates are in action next on Thursday in Caddo against the defending state champions.

Broken Bow routed the Lady Bulldogs 19-0 in the season opener and are looking for their eighth win of the young season today. The action gets underway in Muldrow at 5:00 p.m. with the Varsity squads. 🥎Savage Softball scored 15 runs on just eight hits to run rule the Sallisaw Black Diamonds ⚡️15-5 in an important district game on Monday afternoon!
⚡️Jaxie Glasson and Khloe Williams scored three runs each in the contest. Khloe Williams and Kennedee Brittian drove in two runs each in the four inning contest.
The Savages are in action again tomorrow evening in another important district game at Muldrow. #AlwaysSavage


It's time for another new addition to the Savage tradition. Our first ever "Dads and Decals" event will be held Tuesday evening, August 27th, at the Athletics Hub. The event is open to all fathers and father figures for current Savage players in grades 9-12. Come help your player put the decals on his headgear and help us start a new tradition at Savage Football. The "stickering" begins at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, immediately following practice.

🌱☀️6th Grade Science students are studying the effects of sunlight on plant growth.
6th Grade #Science Teacher Ms. Ledesma said, “Friday, they prepped their seeds to sprout over the weekend. What better way to learn the scientific method than to experience it firsthand. I am looking forward to tons of hands on learning in the days and weeks to come!”

SUSPENSION FROM
ATHLETIC ACTIVITIES FOR UNSPORTING CONDUCT:
Any time an egregious act of
unsportsmanlike conduct occurs two or more times during the same season, at the same school, in the same activity, the team and/or individual will be suspended from participation in that activity for the remainder of the season. Egregious acts of unsportsmanlike conduct will be defined as instances not within the OSSAA adopted rules of the contest.
In the event the second act of misconduct occurs when there are no contests left in the current season, the penalty will be applied to the next season in the same activity. The OSSAA will notify the school that the team and/or individual has been placed on warning after the first offense. Unsportsmanlike acts under this policy will include acts by coaches, players, or spectators.

Savage Football takes to the road tonight for their first action against another team. A three-way scrimmage in Atoka will begin at 6:00 P.M. with the Savages facing off against Atoka and Dickson. Varsity, Junior Varsity and Freshmen football will all take the field with several starting positions still up for grabs. The regular season begins next Friday night in McAlester.
