🥎Senior Maliyah Carney pitched a four-hit shutout and Freshman Khloe Williams drove in the winning runs as Savage Softball secured a home regional playoff, defeating Poteau 2-0 on Senior Night in Broken Bow. Williams ripped a double into the right centerfield wall, scoring Jaxie Glasson and Jaylen Cauthron, to break a scoreless tie in the bottom of the fifth inning. Carney struck out eight batters in the contest as the Savages played error-free defense behind her. Seniors Carney and Glasson were honored prior to the game, along with fellow seniors Haylie Brantley, Kennedee Brittain, Raylee Gaston, Kailyn Marshall, and Emery Noah. Broken Bow hosts Idabel on Thursday in the final regular season home game. The OSSAA Regionals are scheduled for October 3rd and 4th. #SavageSoftball #AlwaysSavage #TakeState

A couple members of the custodial crew, Kathy Gross and Josh Coffey, were bragging on BBHS students this evening. “I’ve worked in five different schools over the years and the kids at this school are doing a great job taking care of things. We appreciate it! They should be proud of themselves,” Gross said. We are proud of all members of our custodial crew, too!

🌟 Proud Moment for our BBHS FCCLA Chapter Officers! 🌟 Yesterday, our amazing FCCLA chapter officers had the incredible opportunity to attend the Lead Conference in McAlester and participate in chapter officer training. They spent time learning about gold medal leadership, collaboration, and how to better serve our chapter and community. Stepping up as a leader is no small task, and it takes real courage to step out of your comfort zone, try new things, and grow as an individual. We are so proud of these officers for taking on this challenge and embracing the responsibilities that come with leadership. Leadership isn’t just about giving directions—it's about inspiring others, making tough decisions, and learning from every experience. These students are not only preparing to lead our chapter, but they are also gaining valuable life skills that will help them in whatever they choose to pursue in the future. We are also incredibly proud of Maddy Seavey for representing our chapter and district well as she fulfilled part of her duties as district Vice President of Membership. She assisted in leading workshops and spoke in front the entire Southeast region. Let’s give a big round of applause to our chapter officers for their bravery, commitment, and dedication to making a difference! 🙌 #FCCLA #LeadershipInAction #SteppingOutOfComfortZones #FutureLeaders

🐻🍎🥪Mrs. Davis's class had a Teddy Bear Picnic today! 🌳🐾The children invited the teddy bears along with a few very “special friends” to meet under the trees on the South lawn at Dierks Elementary. 🎼Based on the early 20th Century pop song “The Teddy Bears' Picnic” ~this day is all about spending time on a picnic with friends, family, and teddy bears. 🖤💛
