🌟 Proud Moment for our BBHS FCCLA Chapter Officers! 🌟
Yesterday, our amazing FCCLA chapter officers had the incredible opportunity to attend the Lead Conference in McAlester and participate in chapter officer training. They spent time learning about gold medal leadership, collaboration, and how to better serve our chapter and community.
Stepping up as a leader is no small task, and it takes real courage to step out of your comfort zone, try new things, and grow as an individual. We are so proud of these officers for taking on this challenge and embracing the responsibilities that come with leadership.
Leadership isn’t just about giving directions—it's about inspiring others, making tough decisions, and learning from every experience. These students are not only preparing to lead our chapter, but they are also gaining valuable life skills that will help them in whatever they choose to pursue in the future.
We are also incredibly proud of Maddy Seavey for representing our chapter and district well as she fulfilled part of her duties as district Vice President of Membership. She assisted in leading workshops and spoke in front the entire Southeast region.
Let’s give a big round of applause to our chapter officers for their bravery, commitment, and dedication to making a difference! 🙌

🐻🍎🥪Mrs. Davis's class had a Teddy Bear Picnic today!
🌳🐾The children invited the teddy bears along with a few very “special friends” to meet under the trees on the South lawn at Dierks Elementary.
🎼Based on the early 20th Century pop song “The Teddy Bears' Picnic” ~this day is all about spending time on a picnic with friends, family, and teddy bears. 🖤💛

🥎Savage Softball traveled to Poteau on Tuesday for a pivotal game with playoff implications. The Savages jumped out to an early four run lead, but Poteau stormed back to capture a 9-6 win, setting the stage for a play-in game in Broken Bow next week. Both teams now have three district losses.
With Broken Bow's loss, Stigler clinches the 4A-6 District Championship. Poteau plays Muldrow on Monday then travels to Broken Bow on Tuesday with the final district playoff berth at stake.

She is in the top 10% of her class and is a member of Oklahoma Honor Society. She hopes to continue her softball career after high school.
Mylee and her teammates travel north to Leflore County this evening for an important district contest against the Poteau Lady Pirates. Poteau is only one game behind the Savages in the District 4A-6 standings with three losses. The two teams play each other twice in the next eight days.
