🏀SCHEDULE CHANGE: The JV games at the Choctaw Nation Talihina Basketball Tournament are canceled for Saturday. The Varsity Boys will play Roland in the championship game at 8:30pm Saturday. #GoBigB

RJMS CHAMPION ASSEMBLY: Students were recognized for various achievements and accomplishments throughout the month of December at the Champion assembly today for RJMS. This month concentrated on M for motivation. One teacher said she recognized a student for “using her intrinsic motivation to complete projects using skills the student had learned in her class.” Some students had worked hard for the semester in a contest to win a new pair of CROCS. Students played a few games and 8th graders have the spirit stick back in their hallway.

🎮Junior Lex Wallis is our Self Proclaimed Halo Expert. He has been playing Halo for years with his dad and is now ready to showcase what he has learned from his years of experience on the state stage! Lex’s first game was Halo 2, but his favorite game is the Halo: Master Chief Collection. Will experience and love for the game carry him all the way? We’ll find out on December 17th! Our 5th graders are on a roll this year! Part of our 5th grade students went to George Puckett Senior Citizens Center today, where they were able to visit with our community members. Our students also sang Christmas carols, and practiced serving meals to each person. All of our kids did extremely well with introducing themselves to everyone, and we even noticed several of our students reaching out to shake hands! Mrs Clardy said, “I can not brag enough on these kids, they are learning some important life skills that we hope they will continue as they get older.”

🏀Game Day! The Fort Smith Tournament of Champions gets underway today with a strong field of teams competing for the title. The Lady Savages (2-1) play at 5:30 PM against Fort Smith Southside in today's opening round. The address of the gymnasium (for those traveling to the tournament) is: Northside High School 2301 North B St Fort Smith, AR 🏀The Choctaw Nation Invitational Tournament also continues today in Talihina. The BBHS varsity boys advanced yesterday and face Class A #2 Rattan (10-0) in today's semifinals. That game tips off at 5:40 PM. The JV girls and boys teams will also both play in today's early consolation round games. #AlwaysSavage

Seeing every aspect of the team as a well oiled machine that works in tandem with each other, Isaac has solidified his role as an expert Halo player and a strong leader! His first game was Minecraft, but his favorite game is Halo: Infinite. His mind constantly evolves with new strategies and solutions to problems, finding solutions to the most impossible scenarios. The Junior Varsity Girls face off against Pocola Varsity in round one action today at 11:00 AM. The JV Boys also play Pocola Varsity in a first round game today scheduled for 12:20 PM. In the nightcap game tonight at 8:20 PM, the Varsity Boys (2-0) take on the Poteau Pirates. The Varsity Girls (2-1) will be in action on Thursday at the Tournament of Champions in Fort Smith against Fort Smith Southside. #TourneyTime #GoSavages

🤝SHAKE ON IT: 31 of our 5th grade students competed in The Amazing Shake contest this morning. The Amazing Shake Contest tested their quick thinking skills, communication skills, and how they respond to complaints in a business atmosphere. All 31 students went through the four stations set up and were scored by judges! We then tallied up their scores to determine our top winner. Our top 5 students with the highest scores are (from left to right) Rowdy Abeyta, Ariell Anderson, Parker McBride, Damarian Byrd, and Sofia Uribe. Our top two students, Ariell Anderson and Damarian Byrd, will get to go to the National Competition in Atlanta, Georgia this March! Students will attend the Amazing Shake Contest at the Ron Clark Academy, where they will compete on these same skills plus more with students from all over. “All of the students that competed today did an amazing job, and I am so proud of them for getting out of their comfort zones! The students were all determined to do their best today, and many of them will remember this for years to come,” said Mrs. Clardy. #BrilliantAtBennett #LifeSkills

🎮Senior Masyn Williston is no stranger to sports. His mastery of College Football 25 led him to an undefeated season, priming him up to take his first state title! Masyn’s first game was Excitebike, but his favorite game is the Lego Batman Trilogy! Masyn has a few tricks up his sleeves, but won his spot in state using the Texas Longhorns!
