🏈It's game day as Savage Varsity Football opens its home schedule against arch-rival Idabel tonight in Memorial Stadium. This marks the 112th meeting between these teams, with the Savages owning a 62-45-4 overall record in the historic series. Broken Bow has won the last six meetings between these rivals. This long-running annual game, nicknamed "The Little River Rumble", began play in 1915, but the teams have played only twice in the past four seasons. A major power outage in Idabel caused the cancellation of last year's game and the COVID-19 Pandemic prevented play in the 2020 season. World War 2 caused the only other interruption in the celebrated history of this rivalry. 🏟️Gates at Memorial Stadium will open at 6:00 P.M. tonight for a highly anticipated 7:30 P.M. kickoff. Broken Bow Public Schools announced this week that a "Clear Bag Policy" will be implemented at the stadium entrances for tonight's game. A large crowd is expected for the event and those attending should prepare accordingly and plan for some congestion at the stadium gates. #LittleRiverRumble #GoSavages #KeepingUsSafe #AlwaysSavage
