Residents enjoyed playing games, winning prizes, and snacking on delicious treats prepared by Mrs. Anderson’s culinary students. Smiles, laughter, and friendship filled the day — what a wonderful way to celebrate the season! 🎺 Savage Pride Marching Band and Color Guard Wins Superior at OSSAA Contest! We're thrilled to announce that yesterday, our Savage Pride marching band participated in the regional OSSAA contest, where bands are evaluated and scored from Division 1 to 5. Our #Band received three Superior (1) ratings, marking the highest achievement possible! This year marks the 29th consecutive year that the Savage Pride marching band has earned a Superior rating at the OSSAA Marching Contest. Notably, only one other school, Elk City, in Class 4A has surpassed this remarkable record! In a historic first, our Color Guard also competed in a separate contest following their performance, and they earned a Superior rating as well. 🎉 “Achieving a Superior rating at the Regional Marching Contest is just the beginning of our journey for the year. We are now aiming for a Sweepstakes award, which requires Superior ratings at the Regional Marching Contest, District Concert Band Contest, State Concert Band Contest, and State Sight Reading Contest. Thank You, Broken Bow! The passage of this school bond is a true testament to what can be accomplished when a community comes together with a shared vision. This project was a collective effort, and all involved worked tirelessly from beginning to end. It was exciting to see people of all ages collaborating and sharing ideas—then turning those ideas into action. We are grateful to have played a small part in such a huge feat. Our senior citizens are an amazing group of people. Those at the Broken Bow Nutrition Center, Alpaca Ranch, and Broken Bow Health and Rehab welcomed our staff and students with open arms as we shared information about the projects. Their unwavering support is never taken for granted; without their trust and their vote, this would not have been possible. They are truly a blessing to us all. Building a new elementary school where future generations will learn, grow, and dream—and restoring a historic stadium that will continue to unite our community through the spirit of the Savages—is nothing short of a dream come true. From a roving sideline reporter in McAlester: "In the final 8th grade game of the season at McAlester, the 8th Grade Savages fell to the Buffaloes 30-14, but they had some big plays in the 4th Quarter. Kristian Jett caught a beautiful pass and ran straight into the end zone for a Savage Touchdown. Zaidyn Price followed up by jumping into the end zone to add 2 extra points. The Savages went back to work on defense and Zaidyn Price grabbed an interception then moved down the field to finish off with another Savage Touchdown. Always proud to be a Savage."

C h o c t a w Nation n u r s e s will be at Broken Bow Public Schools on October 28th from 9am to 1pm. A consent form is available in your school office and must be completed and returned by October 28th in order for your child to receive a flu vaccine. We are unable to immunize anyone under 18 years old without a completed consent form. Only injectable flu vaccine will be provided (nasal mist will not be available). If students are not cooperative, the vaccine will not be administered. Parents/guardians are welcome to be in attendance. 🌟 Shine On Staff Spotlight: Mrs. MaKayla Rich 🌟 This week’s spotlight is shining bright on Mrs. MaKayla Rich, our amazing 3rd Grade Teacher! Mrs. Rich has been inspiring young minds for 5 wonderful years — all right here at Bennett! 💛 When asked what she loves most about working at Bennett, she shared: 💬 “I love my students and work family!” ✨ A few fun facts about Mrs. Rich: ☕ Favorite snack & drink: iced coffee and anything chocolate (the dream combo!) 🍝 Favorite restaurant: Italian — she especially loves Roma’s here in Broken Bow! 🎨 Fun fact: She was once an aspiring artist and still loves to draw and paint. 💡 Favorite quote: “Take chances, make mistakes, get messy!” What always makes her smile? 😄 Getting to be silly with her students! 🏀BENNETT BASKETBALL The 40th Annual Finley-Reese Basketball Tournament in Wright City is this Monday! ⏱️Bus will leave from the sports complex at 3:35pm. 5th grade girls will play at 4:30pm. Boys will play at 7:30pm. Kids will need to bring money for concession stand and can leave with parents (only) when the game is over. SIGN OUT WITH COACH LINDLY FIRST. Parents who cannot attend the game will need to pick their kid(s) up from the sports complex at 8:30pm. #LetsGoBrokenBow
