🌟Rylan Hanks was recently named a Kiwanis Sophomore of the Year Texas-Oklahoma State Finalist!
His application advanced through local and district levels to be chosen at the state level, where he was awarded a scholarship.
Congratulations, Rylan!

Today Mrs. Anderson’s FACS classes were learning about parliamentary procedures and how to run a meeting using Robert’s Rules of Order. Students made motions to include or not include ingredients to make trail mix. At the conclusion of the lesson, students enjoyed a tasty treat!

BBHS students in Mr. Kiper’s US History class got to experience the classic computer game, The Oregon Trail, as a board game!
Designed by Mr. Kiper and Bennet STEAM teacher Mrs. Kiper, the lesson was to teach students the dangers pioneers faced on their way to Oregon by managing resources and a wheel of events both good and bad. While not pictured, administrators Ms. Ellisor, Mr. Hanks, and Mr. McGee stopped by and got roped into the game by the students!
Mr. Kiper stands by the gamification of concepts to help make students both excited and receptive of learning. We think what the Kipers have designed is outstanding and we’re certain they both would make it to Oregon Territory!

Ms.Tolison has been showing her Indian Art students how to get their hands dirty on the pottery wheel. But today, BBHS Principal Mr. McGee decided to join the action and give it a whirl himself!
“We had fun crafting some pieces,” she said.

Q-bitz was the focus in Mrs. Becks 4th grade math class at Bennett today!
Q-bitz is a popular visual-spatial puzzle game produced by MindWare. The game is praised for challenging visual dexterity, spatial reasoning, and memory skills in a fast-paced, competitive format.

Today, RJMS 6th graders learned how to measure volume using graduated cylinders!
“We had a great time working in groups with some fun colored liquids,” said Mrs. Ledesma!

Hello! My name is Becky Jones and I'm joining the Dierks family this year. I was born in North Carolina and moved to Oklahoma in 1979 and graduated from Idabel High School in 1990. I’ve been happily married to my husband, Daniel, for 11 years. We have two wonderful kids, Derick and Kendra, along with six grandsons and a great-grandson who will be arriving in December!
In my free time, I enjoy glass etching, riding motorcycles, camping, and spending time with my grandkids. I consider myself a mountaineer with a bit of country charm. I love being around people and always hope to bring a smile to their faces. If you ever need a helping hand, I’m here for you!
I have eight years of experience working in a school kitchen and also work for the Boys and Girls Club in Broken Bow. Three days a week, I go to Davita Dialysis to keep things clean.
Staying busy is something I truly enjoy. Life is a blessing, and I cherish every moment!

🕊️ With heavy hearts and joyful memories, we remember Jeannie Batchelor Class of 1970.
Roger and Jeannie were high school sweethearts and she wore her love proudly in Roger's letter jacket. Roger is pictured wearing the sweater the school bought for the football players.
Roger and Jeannie are the aunt and uncle of our Varsity Cheer Coach Charisse Berryhill. “She passed away on Monday and we found it. Even though I’m broken hearted, I found so much joy in this photo. 🩷,” Berryhill said.
