🍎Hello 👋🏼 My name is Lacey Tolison and I’m the new Indian Art and Animation teacher. I’m so excited to bring my passion for art into the classroom and help students explore their creativity in new and exciting ways. This will be my first year teaching, and I can’t wait to grow and learn alongside my students. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Oklahoma Christian University with a focus in gaming and animation. My background blends traditional art techniques with digital design and I’m excited to help students build confidence in both areas. When I’m not teaching, I’m usually spending time with my husband and our son. I love playing video games, reading a good book, and working in my garden. I believe art can be found in every part of life and I hope to inspire students to see the beauty in their own ideas and experiences.

🍎Hi! I’m Aunvah Harbour and I’m so excited to be joining the Dierks Elementary team as a first grade teacher! I recently graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a degree in Elementary Education and stepping into this role feels like coming home. I spent several years working in special education classrooms right here at Dierks and I’m thrilled to rejoin the school family—this time as a classroom teacher! During my time here, I fell in love with the culture of support, community, and care that makes Dierks such a special place. I’m originally from Bloomfield, New Mexico, but I moved to Broken Bow seven years ago when my husband, who is originally from here, accepted a position with the local police department. We have three amazing children and as a mom and an educator I’m passionate about creating a classroom where every student feels safe, seen, and excited to learn. I can’t wait to meet my new first graders and their families. Here's to a fantastic year full of learning, laughter, and growing together! 💛🍎

🥎Adelyn French drove in four runs on three hits to lead Savage Softball past Stigler Varsity Lady Panthers 11-1 on Tuesday at Savage Softball Stadium. French doubled in the second inning, scoring two runs, and singled in the fourth inning, scoring two. Savage Softball won thanks in part to six runs in the fourth inning. French singled, scoring two runs, Tyson Woolsey singled, scoring one run, Kirra Wilkins singled, scoring two runs, and Raylee Martin singled, scoring one run. A single by Jaylen Cauthron, and a double by French helped Savage Softball extend their early lead in the second. Woolsey earned the win in the circle, surrendering two hits and one run over five innings, striking out four and walking two. Broken Bow (2-0) starts the season with two important district wins and carries that momentum into this weekend at the Broken Arrow Softball Festival. #SavageFastPitch
