
🇺🇸 JAG GOES TO THE CAPITOL: The Jobs for America's Graduates officer team visited the State Capitol on March 5th and met with Governor Kevin Stitt. They discussed the JAG Program with him as the flagship program in the state, expressing gratitude for his support of he program. One pillars of JAG philosophy is civic awareness. What better place to experience that than at the pinnacle of Oklahoma's civic service?! The officer team also met with Representative Eddy Dempsey and observed legislative session, being introduced to The House of Representatives from the floor. “Much was learned and a good time was had by all!” said Mrs. Vee.



⚾️SCOREBOARD: Savage Varsity Baseball swept a doubleheader against the Idabel Warriors on Tuesday in Broken Bow.
In game one, Kale Ginn smashed a solo homerun and the Savage defense held off a late Warrior rally for a 6-5 victory. Jett Johnson got the start on the mound and gave up just one hit in the Savage win.
In game two, the Savages scored early and often as they cruised to the 10-3 win. Senior Austin Burkhart pitched six innings, giving up just three hits and one earned run to record the win. Kolton Battiest drove in five runs for the Savages. #AlwaysSavage

⚾️The Broken Bow varsity #baseball team triumphed over Antlers with a score of 13-3 on Friday, driven by an impressive eight-run first inning. The team added five more runs on just two hits in the bottom of the second inning.
Kale Ginn secured the victory for the Savages, demonstrating strong performance on the mound. The right-handed pitcher allowed only two hits and three runs (none earned) over three innings, while striking out one batter and issuing two walks. Will Scott provided solid relief, pitching one scoreless inning during which he recorded three strikeouts and did not allow any hits or walks.
Austin Burkhart stood out offensively, going 2-for-2 at the plate and leading the team with three runs batted in. The team exhibited patience throughout the game, accumulating a total of eight walks. Additionally, both Paxton O’Neill and Burkhart showcased their speed on the bases, contributing to a combined total of seven stolen bases for the Savages!
The next challenge for the team is a matchup against Idabel on Monday. #JOINUS

While it came to a close today at the area tournament in Okmulgee with a couple of tough losses, both teams have demonstrated incredible heart, determination and growth this season.
