Bennett and Dierks students may be collected at their school site. The buses will not run, as they will need to be cleared and inspected for safety. This is Joycelyn DeVore. She spoke to staff and teachers from both Bennett and Deirks about her experience in the Marshall Islands. Joycelyn assisted our staff and teachers in better understanding the culture of the families we have that originate from the pacific islands. This helps us better serve our students and families and meet their educational needs. She also brought some of her belongings that she received from the islands, explained their significance and background. 📷Kayla McGee

Hello Savages!
For those that do not know me, I am Mr. Kiper, history teacher and ESports coach. We are getting ready to start up the Fall 2023 season and we are ready to bring in some new players to our team!
For those unaware, the Broken Bow ESports team in their first year of existence took over a dozen kids to state, a feat many in our League have yet to achieve in several years!
ESports provides additional opportunities to learn the ever important skills of communication, coordination, teamwork, and healthy competition. There are also hundreds of scholarship opportunities!
If you are interested in trying out, please meet us in the NEWLY RENOVATED ESports room, second floor of the northeast corner of the Sports Complex August 17th and 18th!
Please note that ESports is held after school, so you will need to arrange for transportation. Tryouts should only last an hour to an hour and a half.
August 17th will be tryouts for Divine Knockout (like a 3D Super Smash Bros.), Super Smash Brothers: Ultimate, and Paladins (if new Overwatch updates have ruined your love of the game, come try this!)
August 18th will be Halo: Infinite and Rocket League.
If you are unable to make it to these times, have no fear. Come and talk to me in room N106 and we can work out a time to get you involved.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Thank you and have a fantastic day!

📸SENIOR PICTURE DAY! Senior pictures will be taken on Tuesday, August 22. You only need to bring your sitting fee which is $15. Bring the exact amount as we will not be able to make change.
*You will take your picture during your English class. Seniors that do not have an English class at BBHS will need to be at the high school at 10:15 to take their picture.

Hello, Savages! If you haven't completed an Online Enrollment Submission for your Student, please do so as quickly as possible. We need your help to make sure we have all required information. Please go to https://www.bbisd.org/page/online-enrollment-with-sylogist-ed to begin the process. Thanks and Go, Savages!

Broken Bow's Jr. High Girls won their first game of the tournament 7-0 over Ft. Towson on Thursday. They then faced Smithville Friday at 5:25 and got the Win 5-4. BB girls watched on as Valliant beat Rattan before starting the final game of the night vs Valliant. It was quite a game - Twice the game was delayed because the lights went out, literally, which caused a 20-minute delay each time. Valliant had the lead 1-0. Once the game resumed, Broken Bow rallied and left runners in scoring position..... When the hour time limit was called at approximately 10:00pm, the Girls lost 1-0. Coach Hayden George reports the girls will play today to battle back through the losers' bracket starting at 1:30.

The Broken Bow Savage Junior Varsity, 9th grade, 8th Grade and 7th Grade football teams will take the field beginning August 31st at Nashville, Arkansas when the 8th and 9th Grade scrimmage the Scrappers. The schedule includes a variety of games against various opponents. Note that every team plays every week, with the exception of the 8th graders, who will have a challenging schedule, including playing three games during an 8-day span from September 7th through September 14th. Come on out and support our teams!

As a first year SPED teacher, this has been a wonderful kick off to our new school year. So much excitement on my students faces and the pure joy of being back at school, made my day amazing. From day one I want them to know they are loved and they have many who believe in them!
