🏃🏾Savage Cross Country had a strong outing at Battiest on Saturday with every member of the team placing at the event. Broken Bow runners took first place in four different divisions at the meet. This was the final meet for our junior high and elementary runners. The varsity will compete at Byng on Thursday and travel to regionals later this month. #SavagesOnTheMove

Mrs. Buff's and Mrs. Rich's third grade students were getting a chance to STEP OUT perimeter. This gave them a clearer understanding of what perimeter is and how to calculate it. Great job 3rd grade students! Perimeter= the continuous line forming the boundary of a closed geometric figure. #BrilliantAtBennett

DISTRICT QUIZBOWL: This Monday after school, we will be hosting our district’s Quizbowl meet. Games will start around 4:30 in Mrs. Bray’s room if anyone would like to attend. Broken Bow will be playing game one against Hugo and game three against Idabel. #knowledgeispower

THIRD GRADE TODAY: Today we learned about personification in Ms. Rich’s class. The kiddos had to come up with a persona for their pop tart and then write a descriptive paragraph about it! Personification = the attribution of personal qualities; especially : representation of a thing or abstraction as a person or by the human form. #BrilliantAtBennett

Book Club has Savage blankets and clear bags available. We will not be set up at the game today, but if you would like one, they are available in the high school library. Clear bags are $10 each. Smaller blankets are $25, and larger ones are $35. We have a limited number of blankets left, so get yours before they are gone!

The Broken Bow Savages (4-1, 2-0) will look to extend their four-game winning streak and remain unbeaten in district play when they host the Stilwell Indians (1-4, 0-2) tonight at Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00PM and a clear-bag policy will be enforced at the entry gates. Tickets are available for $5.00 each (all ages) at the gates. 🎀Cheer and Dance Teams are spreading Spirit today! They will be present at all Broken Bow campuses, along with Lukfata and Hollycreek schools, to sell Savage Pink Out items. All proceeds from the sale of Pink Out items will be donated to support a special member of the Savage family who is currently facing health challenges. 🏈🗓️Pre-Game Activities for the Friday night Broken Bow vs Stilwell Football game at The Rock. Pink Out theme for cancer awareness.

🏃🏾Cross Country runners Landon Thweatt and Tristan Yanez competed in the High School Boys 5K Race at Heavener on Thursday. Thweatt finished 8th in the event with a time of 17:15, while Yanez ran 19:19 and was 22nd overall. The race was tightly contested throughout with several racers finishing in packs with identical times. The team competes again on Saturday, October 12th, at Battiest. They will also race at Byng next Thursday, October 17th.

All students are invited to join FCA (Fellowship for Christian Athletes) for a student led pre-game prayer this Friday! We’ll gather at midfield at 6:30pm. Kick-off at 7pm. We look forward to seeing you at The Rock and don’t forget… it’s a PINK OUT theme for the student section for cancer awareness.
