👦🏻👵🏻✍🏻Some of our 5th grade students had the opportunity to visit their penpals at ALPACA Retirement Community yesterday! For the past couple of months, students have been writing handwritten letters to their penpals, and reading the letters their penpals send to them. While meeting their penpal yesterday they were able to practice “having a conversation in person.” The students also sang some Christmas carols during the visit! Mrs. Clardy said, “the students really enjoyed this experience, and are looking forward to continuing to write to their people for the rest of the school year!”

❄️Students that met their AR (accelerated reading) goal in Mrs. Crenshaw's ELA (English Language Arts) class in November had the opportunity to make snow! Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) mixed with conditioner creates an endothermic reaction and makes the mixture feel “cold.”#BrrrrrrilliantAtBennett
