SLIME TIME: Mrs. Crenshaw’s ELA classes have been busy reading! Those who achieved their monthly points for October got to make slime! #ReadingChemist #BrilliantAtBennett Slime gives children a sensory experience whilst stimulating their curiosity. Slime provides a kind of 'sensory play', which helps to engage a kid's senses, stimulate creativity, and can have a calming, in-the-moment effect.

HOW COOL IS THIS? RJMS Library hosted a virtual visit by Diary of a Wimpy Kid author Jeff Kinney for Mrs. Hammer and Mrs. Harcrow's classes. The author gave the students a tour of his Massachusetts studio as well as instructing them on drawing a character from the book! They were then able to ask him questions about his life, book and writing.

🏈It's Senior Night in Memorial Stadium as the Savages host the Poteau Pirates in the final game of the 2024 regular season. The senior players and managers of the Savage Football team will be honored, escorted by their parents, in a pregame ceremony at midfield. The senior members of the Savage Pride Band, Color Guard, Cheer, Dance, and Fast Pitch Softball, along with their parents, will also be honored in tonight's ceremony. Immediately following the recognition ceremony, the Class of 2025 will pass their spirit sticks to members of the Class of 2037 (currently attending Kindergarten at Dierks Elementary). A win tonight by the Savages and they are the District 4A-4 Runners-Up and will host a first round playoff game next weekend. A Savage loss, combined with a Hilldale victory over McLain tonight, would eliminate the Savages from the playoffs, regardless of scoring margins. A McLain victory however, combined with a Poteau win, would create a four-way tie for third place, with tie-breaker points then determining the two playoff qualifiers from those four teams. Ada defeated Sallisaw Thursday night to capture the District 4A-4 Championship. So, tonight's game is essentially a playoff game, or more accurately, a "play in" game. Win and you're in. Lose and your season very likely ends. Tickets are available at the gate for $5 (all ages). A clear bag policy is in effect at the stadium. Senior Night activities are scheduled to begin at 6:20 PM, with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 PM. 📺If you are unable to attend the game in person, a free livestream is available on YouTube @brokenbowsavages. Recently in Mrs. Rich’s class, students began learning about voting procedures and the importance of voting in America. Students are voting for the best cookie! They made campaign posters to persuade their classmates to vote for their “cookie candidate” before the ballot voting today. #WeThePeopleLoveCookies
