♦️”November is Native American Heritage Month. A time to celebrate the rich culture, history and contributions of Native Americans.
The American Indian Leaders Youth Council teamed up with the Choctaw Nation Cultural Department and Outreach to present cultural exhibitions including the Lord's Prayer in Indian Sign Language, Choctaw Social Dancing and Stickball.
Presentations were held at Bennett Elementary, Dierks Elementary and Lukfata Elementary Schools this week.
Thanks to Jared Tom, Gennavie Tom, Les Williston, Stickball Coach Tabby Carney, Todd Wesley, and Rodney Anna with the Wright City Stickball Crew for making the presentations possible. And to Coach Duce Lee for this picture.
The Annual AILYC Royalty Night is rescheduled for January, instead of being held this month." -Ms. Parra

Mrs. Sisco’s English II classes are getting to show off their creative side with their own artistic book covers and personal reviews for the novella “The Metamorphosis.”
Building upon the foundational skills acquired in English I, the English II course takes students further into the rich world of literature and advanced writing. This course continues to hone essential communication skills, while introducing more complex themes and forms of literary expression.
