Today Mrs. Anderson’s FACS classes were learning about parliamentary procedures and how to run a meeting using Robert’s Rules of Order. Students made motions to include or not include ingredients to make trail mix. At the conclusion of the lesson, students enjoyed a tasty treat! #MrMcGeesClassBrag

BBHS students in Mr. Kiper’s US History class got to experience the classic computer game, The Oregon Trail, as a board game! Designed by Mr. Kiper and Bennet STEAM teacher Mrs. Kiper, the lesson was to teach students the dangers pioneers faced on their way to Oregon by managing resources and a wheel of events both good and bad. While not pictured, administrators Ms. Ellisor, Mr. Hanks, and Mr. McGee stopped by and got roped into the game by the students! Mr. Kiper stands by the gamification of concepts to help make students both excited and receptive of learning. We think what the Kipers have designed is outstanding and we’re certain they both would make it to Oregon Territory!
