A few of the Tech Ed / Robotics students recently went to a regional TSA event in Sallisaw which included several competitions. Those who placed were Alex Abeyta ( 1st in forensics) and Ethan Seth Sanders ( 3rd in Coding).

🏀Regional Basketball First Round is at Ada. Second Round at Blanchard. Here is second round information for the upcoming Basketball Regional @ Blanchard High School along with a site map with directions for parking buses. If you will have your drivers follow the arrows on the map to the marked parking spot, it will be much easier to navigate, especially in the afternoon sessions Thursday and Friday. Players can unload there and we'll try to have someone available upon your arrival to direct you to your locker rooms. One other thing, make sure afternoon patrons are aware that gates for the afternoon sessions on Thursday and Friday will open at 12:30 (our last lunch is over at 12:26, so we can clear the commons area prior to opening). Even when school’s out, Savages show class. 🎮Savage ESports had a Mario Kart meet at Weleetka today. This required six teenagers to leave the school at 6:30am on a day off, but these athletes were ready to go at the start! Our teams did very well and made respectable places. More importantly, they showed good sportsmanship to all of their competitors. 🎮Team 1 was made up of Team Captain Seth Sanders and Payson Scott. 🎮Team 2 was made up of Trace Mulkey and Gunner Pope. 🎮Team 3 was made up of Lex Wallis and Josey Wells. As always, it’s a great day to be a Savage!

OSSAA District Vocal Solo and Ensemble contest in the books. We tell our students before we start this process that our goal is not to collect medals that collect dust. Our goal is to be a better singer at the end of the process than we are when we begin! The superintendent of our school was our very talented accompanist. Ms. Carla Ellisor spent countless hours with us over the last few weeks helping us prepare for today. I feel pretty confident when I say we may be the only school that brought their superintendent with them to contest! We are grateful to Ms Ellisor for sharing her time and talent with us. Another big thank you to Mr. Thomas for driving our bus! 59 superior medals and 8 excellent certificates It’s a great day to be a Savage!!!! Every high school kid that sang today qualified to sing at State!! State contest here we come!! -Mrs. Thomas

The JAG organization hosted a blanket drive for the DaVita Dialysis center and a diabetic sock drive for Hill Nursing Home in Idabel. JAG officers Kaley Bray, Glen Haley, Skylar O'Rear, and Kruse Ward, with JAG Program Coordinator, Veronica Tuttle (Mrs. Vee) delivered the blankets and socks to those agencies on February 14. These student officers visited with nursing home residents and delivered handmade Valentine's Day Cards made by the JAG students to each resident. All in all, these community service projects were a smashing success!
