🥎Savage Softball heads over the mountains today for a match up against Muldrow at 4:30 PM. Broken Bow enters the game with a three-game lead in District 4A-6 with just three games remaining, so a win today clinches the district title outright. The Lady Savages opened the 2026 season with an 8-0 shutout over Muldrow.

In other action today, RJMS Softball travels to Poteau to face the junior Lady Pirates. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 PM.

🔸Today, Bill Farmer of the Mississippi Band of the Choctaw Indians, delivered two more drums for our Choctaw Youth to use at Broken Bow High School. The Choctaw drums are handmade and are traditionally used during special ceremonies, as well as during stickball games to represent the heartbeat of the Tribe. BBHS Principal of Discipline, Darren Hunkapillar said, “A lot of time and effort are put in creating these handmade drums and we greatly appreciate Bill Farmer for helping us to continue to grow the Choctaw Culture.”

🎮It’s been a wild week with Labor Day game reschedules, but Savage Esports continue to be excellent and stack up the wins! Will Woolsey wins Pokemon: Champions against Lawton, 2-0! Ethan Wood wins Pokemon: Champions against Altus, 2-0! Savage Marvel: Rivals wins against Lawton Eisenhower, 2-0! Oklahoma Scholastic Esports IBAI division (partnered with Special Olympics) had their first matches and Savages Blaze Harrington and Guillermo “Mo” Romero walked away with wins! In the face of a tough Yukon, Savage Rocket League fell in a 2-3 match that was a nail biter the whole way through! Coach Kiper said, “I’m proud of these kids for showing grit in adversity, humility in loss, and grace in victory.”

What a fun morning at “The World’s Greatest Leadership Conference”! 🎪🎡 We got to watch our very own district officers, Journey Cole and Kinley Carrell, conduct the opening session, followed by an inspirational keynote from Dustin Galyon. He challenged us to step outside our comfort zone and remember to always give our best. Our officers then participated in workshops led by state officers, encouraging them to think outside the box, bring new ideas, and find ways to make our chapter even better. We love seeing our students grow as leaders and take advantage of opportunities like these! We finished the morning with a meal at Chili’s, making it a great day all around! ✨
