My name is Mrs. Kristy Jordan- Storey. I am a second grade teacher at Dierks Elementary. Some of the students call me Ms. Kristy and others may remember me as Mrs. Jordan. I have two sons. Austin is a 24 year old former Savage, who graduated from Southeastern with his BA and is now employed as a safety specialist. He is currently pursuing his Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety. Brady is 14 years old and enrolled in the 9th grade at the high school. I also have a stepson, Andrew, who is int he 7th grade this year.  My 21 year old stepdaughter, Kendall, lives near Lawton with her husband. They welcomed their first child in February, so I am now a MeMe. I am so blessed to be the mother of such wonderful children.

I have been working in the education field for 20 years. I have worked as an assistant and teacher with the Head Start program, as a Literacy Advocate and certified SMART trainer for SMART Notebook with Early Reading First and as an administrative assistant for Dierks Elementary. I grew up in Idabel, traveled around the United States after high school and later returned here to McCurtain County, where I chose to build my home in Broken Bow. Although, I'm a former Warrior, I am very proud to be a Broken Bow Savage.

I graduated Southeastern Oklahoma State University in May of 2014, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I am certified to teach Pre-K through the 8th grade. This is my sixth year as a second grade teacher. I am currently pursuing my Masters of Education in Reading, through Northeastern State University.

I love being creative. Being an elementary teacher allows me the opportunity to implement fun and educational games and activities into my classroom, in order to make learning more enjoyable for my students. My classroom is bright, colorful and cheerful. I have a large personal library of children's books available for my students to read and informational posters adorn the walls. I truly love teaching. There is nothing in life that I'd rather be doing.
