Hello, Savages!  The Broken Bow Public School Board of Education met today (7-31-20) and the following policies have been put into place for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year.  As always, our goal is to educate our Savages with safety and security in mind.  The BOE voted to require masks/approved face coverings for all staff and students, as well as any patrons entering school buildings, beginning on Monday, August 3rd.  These details are outlined in the documents below.  If you have any questions, please contact your individual campuses and stay tuned to our school website and Facebook pages.  Please subscribe to our school app (available on the Apple App Store and Google Store for Android).


First Week Procedures:  The first week of school, August 24 - 28, is set aside as virtual/equipment training days for small groups of students.  Dierks Elementary and Bennett Elementary teachers will contact each student/family individually to schedule appointments during this week. 

 

Rector Johnson Middle School and Broken Bow High School will use the following procedures: 

Bus routes will run as usual for MS and HS students.  Breakfast and lunch will be served.  Students will follow their class schedule each hour, allowing a smaller number of students in the classroom each period, allowing for more focused attention and assistance. 

 

Student Group Assignments for Device Training Dates  (By Last names beginning with indicated alphabet letter)

 

Day 1:  Monday, August 24th:     A - C

Day 2:  Tuesday, August 25th:    D - H

Day 3:  Wednesday. Aug 26th:    I - M

Day 4:  Thursday, Aug 27th :    N - S

Day 5:  Friday, Aug. 28th:  T - Z

 

Note:  Only the students whose last name begins with the letter indicated above attends on the day indicated.  They will not attend more than one day during that week.  All students/staff will wear a mask or other approved face covering. 

 

Car riders should not arrive before 7:30 AM.  Breakfast will begin at 7:30 AM each morning.
 

After the training week, classes will begin on Monday, August 31.
