Savages Qualify for State Tournament of Champions

**Update:  We came home with 2 trophies and 5 additional students placing in the top 10!

Our curriculum contest students participated at the State Tournament of Champions over the weekend, and we acquired some new hardware.  All of the winners from all of the scholastic meets across the state for this school year were eligible to compete this weekend.  The Tournament Director reported that there were about 700 students taking almost 1500 tests.  We took 9 students and 10 tests.  We have much to celebrate.  We brought home 2 trophies and had 7 students place in the Top 10!

Laney Smith won 2nd place overall in Chemistry.

Katie Thomas won 3rd place overall in Personal Finance.

Brooklyn Grugan placed 5th in English Usage 11.

Jacob Comfort placed 6th in World History.

Brenna Tuttle placed 7th in Communication Skills.

Laney Smith placed 7th in Physics.

Madison Harrington placed 8th in English Literature.

Alex Hester placed 13th in Computer Science.

Amber Wheat placed 13th in Trig.

Kenzlee Camp placed 16th in Geometry.**

BBHS is excited to announce that we have some winners!  Our kids represented us well at both of our scholastic meets.  Aside from winning in several events, our Savages were noticed for being polite and helpful and that is as meaningful as winning their category. Every student who placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd is eligible to compete at the State Tournament of Champions on Friday, May 4th and Saturday, May 5th in OKC. Please congratulate these kids when you see them.
