About Me: I have always been a Savage! I started Kindergarten at Dierks Elementary and graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1995. Then, I attended college at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Ok, graduating in 1999. I truly believe that teaching is a calling. As a matter of fact, it is my 3rd career. First, I worked for a technology company that dissolved in 2001. Then, I was an accountant at CM Trailers in Madill, OK. Finally, I decided to try to make a difference and have been happily teaching at BBHS since 2007.
My husband, Adam, and I live in Broken Bow with our five cats: Mewford and Marbles are Bengal Cats that live inside the house with us. The Tree Kitty, Baxter, and Mr. Cheezers live outside in the yard. We love playing video games and watching zombie shows and movies on Netflix and Hulu! Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp and MarioKart are my current favorite games, The Handmaid's Tale is my current favorite show, and I can't stop eating scrambled eggs with toast and brussels sprouts! I have one awesome niece and two cool nephews who keep me busy outside of school.
I am highly allergic to almonds and peanuts and any products made with or from these two items. I do carry an epi-pen, but there should be no traces of these products in or around my room. Please, help keep me safe! I do not allow students to have anything to eat or drink in my room except for plain, bottled water. Thanks for understanding.
