The Choctaw Language Team of Broken Bow High School competed at the Oklahoma Native American Youth Language Fair at the University of Oklahoma in Norman and won the Championship in Spoken Language/Skit for grades 9-12.  Shown in the picture are (L-R):  Presenter JAY MULE of OU, Andrew Amos (senior), Taryn Watson (junior), Destany DeHart (senior), Naomi Bohanan (junior), Cameron Shomo (senior), and Krystal Noah (senior).

I want to thank the Choctaw Language Instructor Ms. Angie Williston and class facilitator Mrs. Becky Childs; Choctaw Language experts Betty Jacob & Kay Ward; and bus driver Mr. Charlie Childs. Thanks to all who have helped and supported the team, especially those who loaned us their trees for props!

This team has continued the legacy of our Choctaw Language Teams from BBHS in winning 1st place every year that they enter the competition (which now is seven years). Please join me in congratulating these champions!
