As required by § 311, Title 25 of the Oklahoma Statutes, notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of Independent School District No. 74, McCurtain County, Oklahoma, will hold a regular meeting on May 11, 2015 at 6:00 p.m., in the Board of Education Building, Broken Bow Public Schools, 108 West 5th Street, Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

6.            Review, discuss and vote to approve / not approve the Treasurer’s report.

7.            Review, discuss and vote to approve or not approve the Lease between Broken Bow Public Trust and the Broken Bow Independent School District I-074 for the sum of $5,380 for each month during the fiscal year starting July 1, 2015 ending June 30, 2016.

               

8.          Consent Agenda

All the following items, which concern reports and items of a routine nature normally approved at board meetings, will be approved by one vote unless any Board Member desires to have a separate vote on any or all of these items.  The Consent Agenda consists of the discussion, consideration, and approval of the following items:

 

a.            Approve the minutes of the regular meeting of April 13, 2015.

b.            Approve the encumbrance and expenditures of the following funds:

c.             Approve the following out of state trips:

To renew or find that reasons may exist not to renew the employment of the following Support Employees; Dierks Elementary Support Staff; Bennett Elementary Support Staff; Middle School Support Staff; High School Support Staff; Transportation Support Staff and Bus Drivers; Child Nutrition Support Staff and Central Office Support Staff, for the 15-16 school year.

 

 

 

The Hiring of:

Three (3) Child Nutrition fulltime employees for the 15-16 school year;

Bennett Elementary Special Education Teacher; an Elementary Grade Teacher,

as authorized by 25 O.S. §307 (B) (1)      

 

10.          Vote to convene or not convene into executive session.

                May 18, 2015

 

14.          Vote to renew or find that reasons may exist not to renew the employment of Dierks Elementary Support Staff for the 15-16 school year, as recommended by Principal Terry Stricker and Superintendent Carla Ellisor.

 

15.          Vote to renew or find that reasons may exist not to renew the employment of Bennett Elementary Support Staff for the 15-16 school year, as recommended by Principal Jarod Bible and Superintendent Carla Ellisor.

 

16.          Vote to renew or find that reasons may exist not to renew the employment of Rector Johnson Middle School Support Staff for the 15-16 school year, as recommended by Principal Belinda Highful and Superintendent Carla Ellisor.

 

17.          Vote to renew or find that reasons may exist not to renew the employment of High School Support Staff for the 15-16 school year, as recommended by Principal Rod Davis and Superintendent Carla Ellisor.

 

18.          Vote to renew or find that reasons may exist not to renew the employment of Transportation Support Staff and Bus Drivers for the 15-16 school year, as recommended by Transportation Director Charlie Childs and Superintendent Carla Ellisor.

 

19.          Vote to renew or find that reasons may exist not to renew the employment of Child Nutrition Support Staff for the 15-16 school year, as recommended by Child Nutrition Director Randy Seibert and Superintendent Carla Ellisor.

 

20.          Vote to renew or find that reasons may exist not to renew the employment of the Central Office Support Staff for the 15-16 school year, as recommended by Superintendent Carla Ellisor.

 

21.          Vote to approve or not approve  the employment of the following three people for Child Nutrition for the 15-16 school year as recommended by Child Nutrition Director, Randy Seibert and Superintendent Carla Ellisor.

 

22.          Vote to approve/not approve or table the employment of a Special Education Teacher for Bennett Elementary for the 15-16 school year as recommended by Principal Jarod Bible and Superintendent Carla Ellisor.

 

23.          Vote to approve/not approve or table the employment of an Elementary Grade Teacher for the 15-16 school year as recommended by Principal Jarod Bible and Superintendent Carla Ellisor.
