The Board of Education of Independent School District No 74 will meet in regular session at 7:00 p.m. on February 14, 2011 in the Board Room, Board of Education Building, Broken Bow Public Schools, 108 West 5th Street, Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

Note:  The Broken Bow School District Board of Education may discuss, vote to approve, vote to disapprove, vote to table, or decide not to vote on any item on this agenda.

1. Call to Order / Pledge of Allegiance
2. Re-organization of Board:  Swearing in of new member and election of new officers.
3. Elect a member from the Broken Bow Board of Education to serve on the Broken Bow Public Trust.
4. Roll Call

7. Principal’s Report

Action Items:

8. Consent Agenda
All of the following items, which concern reports and items of a routine nature, normally approved at a board meeting, will be approved by one board vote, unless any board member desires to have a separate vote on any or all of these items.

a. Approval of the minutes of the regular meeting on January 10, 2011.
b. Approval of the financial reports.
c. Approval of all encumbrances and expenditures of all funds:
Activity Funds, General Funds, Child Nutrition Funds, Co-op Fund, Building Fund and
Building Bond Fund.
d. Approval to move the regular scheduled meeting of March 14, 2011 to March 7, 2011.
e. Approval for the Broken Bow Senior Citizens to use the Jinkins Auditorium on Feb. 26, 2011, for a concert.
f. Approval of the contract between the City of Broken Bow and the Broken Bow Public School System for the School Resource & Attendance Officer for the term of February
14, 2011 to last day of January 2012.
g. Approval of the following fundraisers:
Spanish Club Movie Night Culture Awareness Day
Football Discount Cards Equipment
Football Football/Golf Tournament Equipment
HS Band Sale Suckers & Sour
Warheads Repairs & Expenses

h. Approval to transfer the following Activity fund amounts:
From Quarterback Club to Football----$113.37
The following is for the Miss Broken Bow Pageant and will be transferred to Yearbook.
Cheerleaders -----------------$25.00
Dance Team -------------------$25.00
Softball -------------------------$25.00
Freshman Class ---------------$25.00
Sophomore Class -------------$25.00
Senior Class --------------------$25.00
Jr. Class -------------------------$25.00

i. Approval of the following out of state trips:
HS Baseball to Horatio, AR for baseball game for April 5th, 2011.


9. Vote to convene or not to convene into executive session to discuss litigation, real estate, negotiations, personnel matters, hirings, resignations and emergency transfers pursuant to 25 O.S. Section 307 (B) (1).

A. Discuss the employment of all Principals for the 2011-2012 school year.

10. Vote to renew or find that reasons exist not to renew the employment of Mr. Terry Stricker, Dierks Elementary Principal, for the 2011-2012 school year.

11. Vote to renew or find that reasons exist not to renew the employment of Mr. Lynn Minor, Dierks Elementary Assistant Principal, for the 2011-2012 school year.

12. Vote to renew or find that reasons exist not to renew the employment of Mr. Jarod Bible, Bennett Elementary Principal, for the 2011-2012 school year.

13. Vote to renew or find that reasons exist not to renew the employment of Mr. David Williams, Middle School Principal, for the 2011-2012 school year.

14. Vote to renew or find that reasons exist not to renew the employment of Mr. Daryl Williams, High School Principal/Assistant Superintendent, for the 2011-2012 school year.

15. Vote to renew or find that reasons exist not to renew the employment of Mr. George (Rod) Davis, Principal of Instruction, for the 2011-2012 school year.
