Let It Snow!
Today the students came to school all excited because it snowed. It isn’t often that the students see snow. One little boy told me when he got to school that he stomped in the snow before the bus got there and he said, “I didn’t even get into trouble!” Hopefully there will be some snow left when the students go home so they might be able to play in it a little bit.
Teachers take advantage of teaching about snow and how it effects them in the classroom. Students tell and write stories about building snowmen and having snowball fights. They draw pictures of themselves playing in the snow. The teachers read stories about snow and some measured to see how much we got.
Tuesday the students will enjoy Valentine’s Day. They have been making special Valentine Boxes and bringing snacks for the parties. Some classes make special Valentine cards for their parents and relatives. Dierks Elementary wishes each of you and your family a very happy Valentine’s Day!
